The Kokomo School Corporation Board of School Trustees is composed of seven publicly elected board members.

The KSC Board of School Trustees typically conducts meetings on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m., at the KSC Administrative Service Center located at 1500 S. Washington Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902.

Meetings

The KSC Board of School Trustees appreciates public interest in our school district and appreciates your support.

Each regularly-scheduled meeting includes a designated time, not to exceed 20 minutes in total, for public comments on agenda items scheduled for action. Agendas for meetings can be found on BoardDocs and are posted in advance of each meeting.

Community members who are Kokomo School Corporation employees, parents and/or guardians of students who attend Kokomo School Corporation, and/or persons who hold residency within Kokomo School Corporation boundaries will be given first priority to address the Board of School Trustees.

Community members interested in addressing the Board, shall notify the Superintendent's office by 4:00 p.m. on the business day immediately prior to the day of the regularly scheduled meeting. This notification can be done by phone 765-455-8000 or by emailing KSC Assistant to the Superintendent Debbie Vawter and must include the interested speaker's full name, address, the name of the group represented (if applicable), and the specific permissible agenda item to be addressed.

Participation at Meetings

  • Public comments must relate to agenda items scheduled for action.

  • No individual may speak more than once on the same topic related to an agenda item.

  • Each speaker will have a maximum of three minutes to share their comments.

  • Public comment may not address personnel or student issues.

  • Comments during statutorily required hearings will remain as scheduled.

Public Concerns

The Board values proper communication channels and directs all complaints and concerns to the appropriate administrative office. Complaints will be considered only after all administrative solutions have been attempted. Comments on non-agenda items may be submitted in writing for Board review to the attention of the Board President at:
